 Vermont Weddings
Tucked away in a quiet valley in the heart
of the Green Mountains, The Green River Inn is the perfect place to
celebrate your Vermont country wedding. Whether you choose a lawn,
deck or dining room affair, your wedding can take place alongside
the beautiful Green River, complete with babbling river sounds and
spectacular mountain views. Nestled on a country road, the Inn is
located in the peaceful town of Sandgate. Established in 1761, the
town has a population of 355 people and still maintains the charm
and quaintness of times gone by. Ceremonies can take place on the
grounds of the Inn or at the Sandgate church (built in the 1700's)
located just up the road. A horse drawn wagon can transport the
bride and groom to the ceremony or they can walk along the country
road.  The Green River Inn can accommodate smaller Vermont weddings in our dining room or larger receptions seating up to 130 guests outdoors with majestic tents. We can arrange for a Friday night rehearsal dinner as well as the Saturday reception.  Wedding Package
Green River Inn - Facility Fee ranges depending on the number of guests + a two night minimum stay
for all sixteen guest rooms. The Inn has a full service bar
and can provide the liquor. Tent rentals
rates will vary depending on size of tents and number of tents
needed. The Inn can provide an Event
Resource Guide which offers suggestions regarding caterers,
florists, photographers, music and other amenities based on tastes
and budgets.
